Frequently Asked Questions
Why did you leave tumblr?
I left tumblr beacuse I bealive it to be an inffective space for productive queer discourse.
I feel that Tumblr and social-media culture in general has bred spaces that reward fruitless squabbles by
creating algorithms that promote whatever gets the most hits -- which has lead to dogpiling, trolling, call-out campaigns, and well-intended but
inflamatory posting becoming the expectations of queer and trans discussion.
I also chose to leave Tumblr beacause it's become more and more aparent over the years that the Tumblr ownership and a large portion of the staff are
agressivley and unapologeticly queerphobic, intersexist, racist, whorephobic, transphobic, and transmisogynistic.
Finally, I was tired of the abuse that the tumblr userbase has put me through. I have been harrased, both emotionally and sexualy, to the point of
mental health decline. It has become aparent that it is pointless to try and "wait it out" or "ignore it", when I have spent almost a decade struggling
to create productive conversations about trans men and our lives and receaving overwhemling violence towards my person in return.
Why did you make this site?
I want to provide a space where I can share recourses with my community, have productive queer discourse,
and inspire others to do the same. I did not leave Tumblr with the goal of dissapearing but with the goal of curating a safer space to interact with people.
Why do you idenity as a butch/male/dyke/sapphic/bigender/nonbinary/bisexual/andro/transsexual/etc?
I owe you no explanation for who I am. I will no longer provide endless details of my personal gender
journey, sexuality, and history to strangers who are demanding I provide an excuse for my existence. I have shared plenty of my identity and why I
use the personal labels that I do, in the past. If you cannot referense back to them or they are no longer avalible on the internet - I do not care.
What are your pronouns?
He/Hymn/His/Hymnself. You may not use they/them pronouns for me. You may not use "him/himself" instead "hymn/hymnself".
You may only use It/Its pronouns for me if you also use It/Its pronouns for yourself.
